Client Testimonials

"Kristen is a phenomenal physical therapist!  My son had a surgery that led to some difficulties with walking that we weren’t anticipating.  I reached out to Kristen and she was able to to fit us into her schedule right away.  I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist myself, so I have pretty high standards for pediatric professionals and she far exceeded them. Kristen is amazing with kids- my son quickly fell in love with her and her amazing bag of toys, and Kristen got him doing lots of helpful exercises without him ever noticing he was working.  She is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and also gave me simple strategies to use with my son at home.  I also loved that she came to our home, which was such a time-saver for us.-E. Merker

"Dr. Demura was extremely helpful in working with me and my son to provide recommendations based on a wellness visit. I reached out specifically because she offered wellness visits. As a first time mom she gave me tools to help my child’s motor development. The recommendations for toys and ways to interact with my child in the newborn and infant stages were practical and helpful! She allowed me to record her working with my child to have as reference for later use. Again my child was not experiencing any specific problem but as a first time mom with limited knowledge of newborns and infants I loved having the support of a professional to provide education and encouragement. It was money well spent on the health and wellness of my child."  -E. Davis

"I am an outpatient physical therapist and clinic owner in Franklin, TN. I am a colleague and friend of Dr. Demura's. As a colleague, I have been incredibly impressed by her intentional treatment planning, ability to break down complex issues and come up with effective solutions, and ability work together with children and their families to reach common goals. She looks at each issue from multiple angles and thinks outside of the box to attack complex issues with specialized and achievable solutions. Dr. Demura is always prepared and well researched in each individual’s specific case and needs. She helps the family navigate the complex healthcare system to find the appropriate providers and resources. As a friend, I can say that Kristen is compassionate and caring. She is thoughtful and will always have your child’s best interest as her top priority. Dr. Demura is the best in town and I would choose her for all of my pediatric physical therapy needs.-M. Aaron

In our initial consultation she very kindly and thoughtfully listened to all our concerns, and it didn’t take long for us to realize she definitely knew what she was talking about! She arrived at a very simple yet methodical plan and, after just a few house visits, our little buddy was up and running! Thanks so much, Kristen!" -L. Breternitz

She's constantly seeking more information and continuing the learning process to be the best therapist she can be.   She has a child's best interest in mind, and I wish I still practiced along side of her. She has taught me so much as I worked with her as a pediatric OTR." -T. Meier

"I have been blown away by Kristen as a PT for my daughter who has a rare genetic disorder. My daughter has been in therapies since 6 months old and now that she just turned 5 and all of the COVID concerns, we decided to change to an in home therapist and Kristen has been such a blessing to me and to my daughter. My daughter does not walk but I know for sure she will take her first steps with Kristen’s help. She has given us so many new exercises to do at home, new things to try that I didn’t think were possible, and so much encouragement for my daughter’s future. She has also helped us revaluate what type of bracing my daughter needs and even went to her orthotics appointment with us to help me make the best decision for our needs. I am so thankful we have found Kristen and can’t wait to see what all my daughter accomplishes with her help!" -A. McCormac

"Dr. Kristen DeMura was so wonderful to work with! She was on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She was encouraging and offered so many ways to work on stretches on our own. I saw a dramatic improvement with my daughter after just one session. I continue to be impressed with Kristen! Very happy to work with her and would highly recommend her services." -Anonymous

"My daughter needs physical therapy because she has a progressive disease. It is extremely important for me to feel confident in those who are in charge of my daughter’s care. I am beyond excited about having Kristen involved. She provides expert guidance while clearly communicating effective plans in an approachable way. I highly recommend Kristen!" -Anonymous

"I asked Dr. Kristen DeMura if she could do an individual PT session (Wellness Visit) with my daughter who wasn't walking yet (even though she had taken first steps), and I wanted to learn about developmentally appropriate activities to help my daughter with fine and gross motor skills. Dr. DeMura came into our home and showed us a simple way to arrange furniture and provide incentives to encourage our daughter to walk. Within a week of the session, our little girl was taking independent steps and fully walking within a few weeks. Dr. DeMura introduced us to several activities to help with our daughter's development, and she even sent links to each of these so that I could purchase some activities for future use. Dr. DeMura's calming presence was just what our slow-to-warm-up little girl needed, and the skills we learned were invaluable!"      -A. Bisel

The virus seems to be healed but his leg strength was attacked and he has not been able to walk for a few months. Our doctor recommended physical therapy and we found Dr. Demura! She is amazing! She is works so well with my son. Her personality is great— She is kind and cool and connected with our son right away. She is very knowledgeable in her field and has known exactly how to give him exercises and stretches that are just challenging enough without being too challenging. We have seen great improvements in his strength, flexibility, and mobility as well as his confidence and motivation. At our last appointment, she was able to oversee his first steps since many months! It was so exciting! I highly recommend Dr. Demura!" -A. Barnes
